COURAGE

When I was interviewing Gloucester’s Harbormasters, Thomas Ciaramitaro and Chad Johnson, they told me about the Mariner’s Medal, designed by artist Walker Hancock. It’s awarded to honor those who have, at personal peril, provided aid to those in distress. Gloucester has about 65 miles of coastline—we need all hands on deck to help each other on the water.
